Day Process Supervisor

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

  • You will lead and coordinate the Day Process Team, directing day-to-day work activities, including safety and human resource activities
  • You will manage the movement of raw materials, intermediate goods, finished products, substandard items, and waste, ensuring timely delivery and collection to increase business efficiency
  • You will ensure accurate documentation for all daily deliveries and collections, maintaining organized records that are easily accessible when needed
  • You will oversee site transport, ensuring that it is well-maintained, compliant, and fit for purpose
  • You will manage pulp deliveries, ensuring that they are ordered in a timely manner and that pulp inventory and storage is managed effectively
  • You will supervise inventory and warehouse activities, ensuring they are handled efficiently and effectively
  • You will ensure that raw materials and inventory are managed according to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles



Our expectations for this exciting role

  • You have minimum GCSE Maths and English Language, grade A-C or equivalent; and good literacy and numeracy skills
  • You are experienced in stock, inventory and warehouse management
  • You can drive a fork-lift truck; you are familiar with best operating practices for workplace transport; and you would be open to qualifying as a workplace transport assessor, including FLT, PEOP and REACH Truck
  • You are confident in managing operational teams, and are able to supervise in a positive, constructive manner via effective communication and feedback
  • You have experience of working in a fast-moving, dynamic work environment, and you can investigate, solve problems, adapt and prioritise, all while working to strict deadlines
  • You are experienced in managing SHE, quality and human resources, and you are able to positively develop the organisation’s safety and quality culture, leading by example and exhibiting a safe, responsible attitude
  • You are a reliable team player with a collaborative, hands-on approach; a positive can-do attitude; and great organisational skills

The gross annual salary for this position will be £38,000 - £40,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
