Vice President - Site Lenzing

Purpose & key responsibilities of the role
- You will take the ownership of the performance program for the Lenzing site and lead its comprehensive transformation, optimizing capital utilization to ensure that return on capital employed surpasses weighted average cost of capital, thus generating shareholder value
- You will maintain the highest possible safety standards in all areas, in line with local laws, and motivate employees with regard to safety and accident prevention
- You will strive for cost leadership in both output and quality (taking environmental and legal requirements into account), and develop production and process improvements to ensure the plant operates at the optimum level
- You will ensure a sustainable and stable operational site for future generations, considering and including both financial and strategic aspects
- You will encourage lean operations through continuous improvement activities, drive change and incorporate lean values into the company culture
- You will lead, motivate and challenge employees, fostering their development and defining succession plans
Your ideal profile
- You have at least 15 years’ experience in site / operations management (and/or general management), in a material production environment with a transformation agenda and a demonstrated profit & loss success and responsibility
- You hold a university degree in a relevant technical subject area; a Master’s or an MBA degree could be a plus
- You are an excellent leader, with strong intercultural sensitivity and the ability to build, motivate, coach and develop high performance multidisciplinary teams
- You have strong general management skills, with foresight and the ability to develop and link long-term objectives with day-to-day tasks; any past exposure to Sales / commercial functions could be a plus
- Your experience spans from lean management, continuous improvement systems & tools, to plant operations, process and technology, technical assets, Capex, as well as energy management for a multi - user site
- You have strong conflict-handling and influencing skills: you are able to convince and persuade at all levels, communicate effectively in a fair and transparent manner and establish productive relationships
- You are results-oriented, proactive, passionate, energetic: driven to exceed expectations and to deliver high quality outputs and successful outcomes. You have a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to handle high-pressure situations, an analytical approach to problem solving, along with excellent organizational skills and an eye for efficient set up & processes
- You drive change with a collaborative mindset: willing to listen, but confident in making decisions and taking the lead
- You are proficient in both English and German, spoken and written, with clear and effective communications and presentation skills, both oral and written

The gross annual compensation for this complex integrated VERBUND site leadership position will start from € 150,000 per annum, before tax, including overtime, with a willingness to overpay, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, you will take part in the Lenzing bonus system.
