Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

  • You will work with our global team to create & execute regional business development strategies across the personal protective equipment (PPE) and workwear (WW) segments, by building & maintaining strong relationships with end users & value chains; reinforcing regional commercial excellence to deliver customer intimacy; and cooperating with, motivating and empowering regional suppliers & our technical market development teams
  • You will maintain and expand relationships with existing downstream partners, supporting them in positioning, supply chain, new developments etc; and grow brand accounts by contributing to the development of account plans, strategies, goals, etc
  • You will cultivate relationships with new supply chains, by identifying and fostering new supply chain partnerships; actively supporting the development and commercialization of products with Lenzing fibers (e.g. positioning, sourcing, pricing); and managing secondary accounts (plans, strategies, targeted activities, etc
  • You will promote Lenzing’s fiber portfolio and product innovations (via, for example, seminars; industry events; podcasts; trade fairs, etc.); and initiate co-branding opportunities with brand accounts
  • You will collect market and competition information, and share insights internally
  • You will monitor trends impacting our business and keep up to date with the use of our fibers and sales volume development. You will screen the market to identify growth opportunities and initiatives, and participate in active, targeted development of products and applications (e.g. showcasing of fabrics & garments containing Lenzing fibers to supply chain and brands/retailers and end users)
  • You will maintain close ties with key secondary stakeholders such as industry associations, NGOs, universities, norms & standardisation committees, etc, and participate in national standardization committees (EN and ISO ) for PPE 

Your ideal profile

  • You hold a university degree (or equivalent) in Business Management, or in a Fiber/Textile-related subject area
  • You have at least 10 years’ total experience in the textile industry, with at least 5 years in Business Development
  • You have good technical understanding of fibers and downstream processes
  • You are a strong communicator and a good networker
  • You have a sound understanding of financial topics, and strong skills in commerce and negotiation
  • You have good knowledge of supply chains and sourcing

The gross monthly salary for this position, according to the collective agreement in the chemical industry, is €4.600,-, with the willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience.
